I miss football. Vapormax Scarpe Uomo . It has been eleven years, eight months, and 261 days since I played my last CFL game. Never once in that time have I regretted my decision to retire, nor have I ever wished that I could make a comeback. I dont miss playing football. Three weeks into the 2014 CFL season, I miss the existence of football...or at least the version of the game that Ive spent virtually my entire life watching, playing, and loving. Absent is the fast pace of the game created by the 20-second play clock. In its place are plodding affairs that often exceed three hours in length and are punctuated by penalty flags and instant replay reviews. The superstar players who had drawn me to the sport growing up have been reduced to sharing the spotlight with the men in striped shirts. The captivating chess match between coaches, which used to be about Xs and Os, has instead become about which general is able parlay his complement of replay challenges into the biggest payoff. Perhaps most disturbing to me is the apparent desire to transform football from a "collision sport" into a "contact sport." Im not going to lie, nor am I going to apologize. I crave a certain amount of "controlled violence." I enjoy mixed martial arts, dont mind fighting in hockey, and to be blunt, absolutely love big hits on the gridiron. Those hits, and the inherent physical risk associated with them, are part of football...but, in Week 3, the CFL edged perilously close to dressing quarterbacks in red "non-contact" jerseys like the ones they wear in practice. I appreciate that the relatively new concept of player safety is being taken seriously, however, the fine line between "player safety in football" and "rugby played in helmets and shoulder pads" has become a little too blurry for my liking. My complaint isnt with the leagues officials. My beef is with the rules theyre being asked to enforce, the standards to which theyre being asked to enforce them, and a review system that effectively castrates them in terms of exercising judgment. Where the officials used to be asked to enforce the rules, they have now become slaves to those regulations. For me, football has always been about the human element – played by humans, coached by humans, officiated by humans, with opportunities for human excellence and human error creating an awesome 60-minute emotional journey. Rules have always been a necessary part of the game but now they too often overshadow the game. Every physical interaction between players is at risk of being deemed "too physical". The cerebral duel between coaches that takes place over 200 painstakingly conceived plays is becoming irrelevant next to the question of "Should he throw his challenge flag?" Every raw emotional reaction to an officials call loses its edge while the play is reviewed. Its just not the same. Dont get me wrong. The games in Week 3 of the CFL schedule still possessed many of the elements of Canadian football that Ive always enjoyed. Thanks to the drama of Julian Feoli-Gudinos game-winning catch, Adarius Bowmans one-handed touchdown grab, Jock Sanders 121-yard missed field goal return, and Andrew Harris run for the ages, the game being governed by current CFL rules still offers incredibly entertaining moments...but, man, I sure miss football. Nike Air Max Saldi . The Brazilian-born strikers brace drew him level with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo as the leagues leading scorers with 17 goals apiece through 16 rounds. "The important thing is to help the team win, not the goals," Diego Costa said. After a first half dominated by defence, Atletico pressed Valencia into its area and Diego Costa did the rest. Vapormax 2019 Scontate . -- Adrian Peterson remained in a walking boot to treat a high ankle sprain on his left leg on Wednesday, and coach Leslie Frazier said he will not play on Sunday against Atlanta if he cant hit the practice field in the next two days. http://www.airmaxscarpescontate.it/scarpe-air-max-97-prezzo-basso/max-97-off-white-saldi.html . Not only that, when Julian de Guzman first stepped on the pitch for Deportivo de la Coruna he became the very first Canadian to play in Spains top tier.LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Defending champion Jason Dufner, suffering from a neck injury and struggling just to swing a golf club, pulled out of the PGA Championship just past the midway point of the opening round. After making a triple-bogey 8 on the 10th hole, he shook hands with playing partners Y.E. Yang and Keegan Bradley, a good friend, and returned to the locker room. "Theres no point to be out there hacking it around," he said before climbing into a courtesy car alongside wife Amanda and driving away from Valhalla Golf Club. "Its just pointless." Dufner ranked eighth among players battling for a spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team. Had he held on -- qualifying ends this week -- Dufner would have been guaranteed a spot. He previously said hed be willing to skip the FedEx Cup playoffs to be healthy for the Sept. 26-28 matches in Scotland. But he said the Ryder Cup was a "secondary" concern right now. Asked when he might return to golf, Dufner looked disconsolate. "It could be next month, next year, 2016," he beegan, "but not until Im healthy. Vapormax Prezzo Basso. " Dufner has been coping with two bulging disks in his neck since the Masters in April. He has tried to play through the pain this season, and had an injection before playing in the Bridgestone Invitational last week. But he said the worsening pain, coupled with "fatigue, tightness in the shoulders and a dead arm" finally convinced him to walk off the golf course. "It gets progressively worse. You lose strength, speed ..." Dufner said his voice trailing off. He said he couldnt even be sure at the moment what course of treatment to pursue to deal with the injury. "Ive tried ice, exercise, injections, pills. You name it, Ive done it all in the past month. The only thing I havent done," Dufner said, "is rest it." A reporter asked whether having won the first major of his career at Oak Hill in 2013 made this blow easier to absorb, Dufner just shook his head. "Last year was last year," he said. "Nobody remembers who won it last year." ' ' '
