WINNIPEG -- Tyler Seguin was relieved he and Dallas Stars teammate Jamie Benn finally had something good in common on Saturday afternoon. Steve Buechele Jersey . The pair ended pointless droughts when they each scored two goals in a 6-4 victory over the Winnipeg Jets that halted a two-game losing skid for the Stars (15-11-5). "I feel like I got my monkey off my back with him getting a couple," said Seguin, who also had a pair of assists. "Its nice to see. Sometimes things just arent going in, but he made some great shots tonight and stepped out at the right time." Seguin and Benn had been held pointless in their two previous games -- losses to Nashville and Chicago -- but Benn hadnt scored a goal since Nov. 14. Benn pretended to throw a monkey off his back after he finally scored his eighth goal of the season at 13:46 of the second period to give the Stars a 3-2 lead. Sergei Gonchar was a big help, tallying a career-high four assists. Rookie Valeri Nichushkin scored a goal. Centre Colton Sceviour netted his first NHL goal in his first game this season for the Stars, who only have four wins in their last 10 games. Kari Lehtonen, playing his 200th game for the Stars and 404th career NHL game, stopped 34 of the 38 shots he faced. Blake Wheeler had a pair of goals, Matt Halischuk also scored and Olli Jokinen added a goal and assist for Winnipeg (14-15-5), which is now winless in its last six home games. Their last victory at MTS Centre was Nov. 15 in a 3-2 shootout against Philadelphia. Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec was replaced by Al Montoya to start the third period. Pavelec stopped 19 of the 24 shots he faced. Montoya made seven saves on eight shots. Going into the game, Winnipeg, Dallas and Nashville were tied with 33 points at the bottom of the Central Division. However, Winnipeg has played three more games than Dallas and one more than the Predators, who host San Jose Saturday night. Winnipeg is now 3-11-3 against division opponents, while Dallass mark is 3-6-3. The Stars led 2-1 after the first period and 5-3 after the second on late power-play goals by Benn and Seguin one minute and three seconds apart. The goals were scored while Jets winger Anthony Peluso was off for a boarding major and a game misconduct. Peluso had hit defenceman Alex Goligoski into the boards. Goligoski left the ice with a towel against his right eye, but returned to the game. Dallas coach Lindy Ruff was far from impressed with the hit. "I thought the Peluso hit was a joke," Ruff said. "For a guy that plays that amount of time and runs a guy like Goligoski from behind. What does he play, three, four minutes a game? And hes going to run Goligoski from behind? Go run one of our bigger guys. "It was gutsy (of Goligoski) to come back. I mean, (he) cut him open. These are the hits we want to get rid of. I mean, lets get serious." Jets coach Claude Noel didnt have much to say about Pelusos hit. "Anytime you take a five-minute major, its never a good situation," Noel said. "It put us in a tough situation, especially (when) they scored two goals in there." He also pointed to two bad lines changes his team made that led to Seguin and Nichushkin being able to go in alone and score on Pavelec. Basically, his team didnt play "intelligent," Noel said. Wheelers goals tied the game 2-2 and 3-3, but his frustration spilled out after the loss. "What I say doesnt matter. Its what you do out on the ice," Wheeler said. "You can blow smoke as much as you want in the media. Weve been blowing smoke for three years, everyone, myself. "Everyone thats stood in front of the microphone the last three years, theyve said the same (stuff). What do you want me to say? Thats about it. I dont know what else to say." But he did elaborate when asked where the game turned. "In the first period, we were terrible and thats inexcusable," Wheeler said. And even though they fought back and were down 5-3 heading into the third, the Jets gave up two-on-ones and breakaways, he noted. "Its embarrassing," Wheeler said. "Its just no respect for each other. (Montoya) goes in there, hes cold, and thats what we do? "Its like, you just cant believe it." Jokinen finished the scoring at 18:19 when he got a stick on a rebound in traffic in front of the net. Notes: Wheeler now has six goals in his past six games a Winnipeg forward Evander Kane missed his sixth straight game with an undisclosed lower-body injury, although he practised with the team for the first time on Friday a Winnipeg heads out for a two-game road trip against Columbus on Monday and Buffalo on Tuesday a Dallas ends its three-game road trip against Colorado on Monday. Ivan Rodriguez Rangers Jersey . Betancourt was 2-5 with a 4.08 ERA and 16 saves for the Rockies last season before tearing a ligament in his pitching elbow. He considered undergoing platelet-rich plasma therapy to fix his arm, but announced in August his decision to have Tommy John surgery. Al Oliver Rangers Jersey . Zdeno Chara scored with 13 seconds left in regulation after David Krejci tied it late, lifting the Bruins to a 3-2 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday night in a game that saw Orpik taken from the ice on a stretcher. https://www.cheaprangersbaseball.com/3222h-nate-jones-jersey-rangers.html . Interestingly, the culprits were not rookies, but well paid, experienced pros. The first gaffe came in the 24th minute of arguably the biggest early season MLS game in history between Seattle and Toronto. Sounder newcomer Marco Pappa, (with over 100 MLS games, and 39 Guatemalan Caps to his name) attempted a back pass to one of his central defenders.BEREA, Ohio -- The two wooden lockers Trent Richardson used daily were barren, nothing left behind from his short stay with the Browns. Face of the franchise one day. Gone the next. Still somewhat shaken by the new front offices decision to trade Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts for a first-round draft pick, the few Browns who ventured into the locker room on Thursday expressed shock at the deal, its timing and they vowed to move forward in a season not yet three weeks old. "It was a shock to everybody," receiver Josh Gordon said. "Everyone was in disbelief." With an eye toward the future, the Browns shipped Richardson, the No. 3 overall pick in 2012 and one of their few players with star magnitude, to the Colts for a selection in next years draft. But the alarming move to trade the powerful running back raised a flag for Clevelands long-suffering fans, who view the hasty transaction as a sign that Browns management is throwing away this season to better align itself for 2014 and beyond. "Thats not even realistic," linebacker DQwell Jackson said. "In this business, there is too much pressure on everyone to win. I cant even fathom that." To offset the loss of Richardson and add depth at running back, the Browns signed free agent Willis McGahee. He spent last season with Denver, leading the Broncos with 731 yards. The nine-year veteran passed his physical as the Browns were practicing, worked out for Clevelands coaches and signed his contract. Like everyone, Jackson was caught off guard by Richardsons trade. Jackson had left the teams facility and was at home getting a massage Wednesday when he heard. Once the initial shock wore off, Jackson chalked it up to life with the Browns. "Ive been around here for a long time and Ive seen a lot happen and thats one of those deals where its out of your hands and out of your control," he said. "Im not saying that hes not a good player. Hes just going to be a good player for another organization, and the powers that be felt like that was the best thing for the team and weve got to move forward." Jackson said theres no time to dwell on the trade, which came within hours of the Browns naming third-string quarterback Brian Hoyer their starter Sundayy in Minnesota, and wide receiver Greg Little losing his starting job. Rangers Jerseys China. Hoyer got the nod over backup Jason Campbell to fill in for Brandon Weeden, sidelined with a sprained right thumb. As a captain, Jacksons duty is to keep his teammates focused. "I think in the locker room, guys will talk about it for today and then weve got work to do," he said. "Weve got a lot of studying to do, a lot of film to watch, were trying to get the first win. So, yeah, its going to be in the back of our minds. We wish Trent the best of luck. But weve still got a job to do. "We have to put our hard hats on." That was the same message delivered by Browns coach Rob Chudzinski, who reminded his players to lock in on the Vikings. "We still have to go out and do what we do," safety T.J. Ward said. "Nothing changed for us. Its the same road. Weve just got to go out there, hold it down for the defensive side of the ball." Defensive lineman Desmond Bryant, who signed as a free agent in March, doesnt think the trade is a sign of surrender. "Definitely not," he said. "Were out there and we put in work every day to win. This doesnt change that, so right now were working to beat Minnesota and were going to continue to do that. I respect the decision they made." Jackson appreciates why some Cleveland fans are in an uproar over Richardsons departure. Once considered a building block, he wasnt around long enough to make a major impact. "Trent was going to be the face of this organization, a high draft pick, much was expected out of him," Jackson said. "Now that hes gone, I can see the frustration of the fans. The die-hard fans thought we had something in Trent. "Thats the ugly side of the business we cant control." ---- NOTES: Weeden visited a hand specialist, but the team provided no update. ... DE Ahtyba Rubin practiced again and could make his debut after missing two games with a calf injury. ... Offensive co-ordinator Norv Turner believes Richardson will thrive in Indy. "A lot of times players success depends on the situation theyre in and the people around them," he said. "I think hes going to have an opportunity to be real successful." ' ' '
